As a wide-eyed 14-year-old in 1976, Christopher Long couldn’t fathom ever reaching the ripe old age of 64 or what the world would look like 50 years in the future. Now he knows. And as he turns 64 in 2026, Chris has myriad incredible stories to tell and insightful perspectives to share in the pages of his latest book, WHEN I’M 64: A Fourth-Quarter Coming-of-Age Story.
Inspired by the iconic Beatles song of the same name, WHEN I’M 64, is unique, compelling, and often laugh-out-loud funny. Driven by Chris’ personal accounts of modern-day experiences and splashed with feel-good flashbacks, WHEN I’M 64 will entertain and uplift not only Boomers and Gen X, but Millennials and Gen Z as well.
Assuming the role of a fast-living, fun-loving “wise old owl,” Chris writes with candor and wit as he recounts his decades-long journey from 8-Tracks to A.I. Along the way, he also reveals many of the fascinating people he’s met, the interesting places he’s been, and the valuable lessons he’s learned while traveling the world as an author, musician, journalist, missionary, and personal assistant working for platinum-selling rock stars.
