ADDICTED TO THE RUSH: My Energy Drink Report Revealed!

ADDICTED
TO THE RUSH
 My Energy Drink
Report Revealed!
_________________________

It's a worldwide craze
— a multi bijillion-
dollar a year industry.
And after more than a
decade of independent
personal "research,"
I'm eager to share
my stimulating data.
_________________________

Be advised  the following testimonial and commentary reflect solely my own opinions, preferences and personal experiences.

I'm not a doctor. I don't even play one on TV. I'm not a nutritionist, and I'm certainly no scientist. I'm merely a fun-loving (sober) guy, living in the fast lane — running on two to four hours of sleep a night — 24/7. Hence, I often (okay, daily) require a little "sumthin'" in order to keep going.

My discovery of, and ultimate dependence on energy drinks started out quite innocently. In 2004, I'd been a 25-year "poster boy" for Mountain Dew. But that was all about to change. In May, I took in an opening day, matinee showing of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's silver screen epic, New York Minute. In one particular scene, one of the twin co-stars (I still can't tell which is which) enters an NYC convenience store and purchases a soft drink in a groovy-looking blue and silver can. It was Red Bull. Hmm, if it scores a thumbs-up endorsement from M-K&A, maybe I oughtta give it a try! Upon leaving the cineplex, I ventured out to my local Zip-E-Mart in short order to try this intriguing libation for myself. My taste buds tingled with delight and my eyes rolled to the back of my head in utter ecstasy as I took that fateful first sip. Wow, I feel like I've — got wings! I knew right then and there that I had made a life-changing discovery. In fact, I was hooked immediately. Darn those Olsen twins!

My amazing overseas discoveries.
Two years into the relationship, I sought a younger and tastier "dance partner" I found one in SoBe's "No Fear" (Gold). In the spirit of full disclosure, I will confess that while working on the 2006 summer Poison tour, I existed almost entirely on fistfuls of sleeping pills and gallons of "the gold." But as they say, nothing lasts forever, and by 2010, the PepsiCo had discontinued "No Fear." My quest continued.

Energy drinks don't ramp me up, they simply help maintain my "balance." And I'm not addicted — I can quit anytime (really) — I'll just need two or three days in which to get through the "pill sick" phase. But despite being strictly a recreational drinker (no, really), I'm constantly on the lookout for the next potent potion. Sadly, many newfound energy drinks merely leave me feeling flat. However, several have been slam-dunk winners. And oddly, I've made some of my greatest discoveries while traveling outside the U.S. In fact, I was introduced to two of my all-time favorites — Gladiator and Raptor during my 2014 missionary trip in Nicaragua.

My current go-to weapon of choice!
Stateside, I remain somewhat faithful to Monster (Green) and Full Throttle (Citrus). However, two of my current absolute favorites are Quick Strike (Regular) and my go-to weapon of choice, Venom (Black Mamba and Killer Taipan). Simply put, Quick Strike IS Red Bull, but at a fraction of the price. Venom's Black Mamba is a delightful and affordable alternative to Monster, while Killer Taipan is the friendly fraternal twin of SoBe Gold.

Energy drinks — it's a global phenomenon that continues to fuel a passionate debate throughout the Net. And I encourage readers to chime in with their own opinions, preferences and personal experiences.

  1. A couple of years ago I also used to take these energy drinks but now I take only Green energy drinks that are beneficial for my health. Actually my friend orders these drinks from IVLproducts.com and he suggested me to try one at her home. I like the taste and started drinking it.
